Position Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Software Product Manager will act as the Scrum product owner for one or more of our products, which include consumer web applications, payment systems, workflow systems, and customer support applications.  The position is responsible for ensuring our development efforts align with our strategic initiatives and roadmap.  Additional responsibilities include maintaining and prioritizing product backlogs, developing and refining product specifications, creating user stories, and providing pre-release communications, support and training to internal stakeholders.  The ideal candidate will have experience working with agile development teams in a fast paced environment, and will be willing to take on various roles throughout the SDLC process to make sure we deliver great software.  This position requires working efficiently on multiple overlapping initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Meet with internal stakeholders to define and refine business requirements for new development
  • Manage and incorporate feedback from the account management and technical support teams
  • Create user stories and define acceptance criteria
  • Maintain and prioritize product backlogs
  • Provide feedback and clarification for the development team during sprints as necessary
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to maintain a public roadmap and support launch activities for new products and functionality
  • Participate in design and scoping meetings as necessary
  • Ensure internal teams are supported and prepared for new releases with training and documentation for new products, features, and functionality
  • Work with beta customers during co-development and launch processes
  • Manage time and priorities across multiple initiatives

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience as product owner or product manager
  • Experience in an agile development environment
  • 2+ years of experience with customer-facing web applications or enterprise systems
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Jira or similar software management systems
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

·         Experience in health care or enterprise software systems is desirable.
