Pen Tester - Remote position

Position Summary:

Job Summary: 

Must have penetration testing experience to be considered for this position!  The Penetration Tester provides subject matter expertise in a broad range of Information Security disciplines and is both a generalist and a specialist.


Essential Functions:

·       Conducting vulnerability assessments utilizing tools such as Nessus and Qualys

·       Conducting penetration tests, to include internal and external penetration testing, network and application (including web application) penetration testing, social engineering, etc.

·       Providing remediation assistance to clients, which may include hands-on work

·       Providing quality assurance for TECH LOCK’s PCI Approved Scanning Vendor service

·       Maintaining technical proficiency, sharing knowledge throughout the company through tool development and methodology enhancements

·       Identifying and implementing improvements in existing processes and procedures

·       Identifying process risks and weaknesses in controls, and developing recommendations and plans to address threats

Position Responsibilities:


·       Minimum 5 years’ experience in information security, specifically including audit, penetration testing and/or vulnerability assessments. Experience in conducting internal & external penetration tests. Experience with network-layer and application-layer penetration tests. Experience with web application penetration testing. Programming experience (any language).

·       Specific Job Skills: Good writing and communications skills, including the ability to render concise reports, summaries, and formal oral presentations. Must be willing to travel up to 25%. Must be a self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to adjust schedule to accommodate clients requested service hours.

·       Certifications: Applicants must be eligible for the PCI ASV certification. One or more penetration testing certification (e.g., L|PT, GPEN).
