Position Summary:


The Programmer is responsible for support for existing applications and ongoing maintenance, using knowledge of programming and system requirements. 



Technical Support (Monitoring)

  • Provide on-going troubleshooting, i.e. research system issues and provide direction for resolution with customers.
  • Test, maintain and monitor programs and systems (e.g. Maestro).
  • Coordinate production issues with the production staff for resolution
  • Serves as primary point of contact between users and IT staff.
  • Recommends ways to improve systems.


  • Aids in the maintenance of existing programs.  Works closely with internal staff as well as senior developers for mentoring and direction. 
  • Utilizes knowledge of common programming concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on instruction and pre-established procedures and processes to perform the functions of the job.


  • Position will typically require 0-2 years of experience.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Position involves interaction with account managers and production staff.

Position Responsibilities:


  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or 2 year Associates Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
  • Related experience such as previous work setting, internships, etc.
  • Knowledge of common data structures including XML
  • Knowledge of Perl/Scripting (recommended but not required)
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems including Jira
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
